One-bedroom apartment in Moscow for a couple. The main feature of the project is a single space of the living room, bedroom and shower room, separated by glass loft partitions. The apartment is not intended for permanent residence. Therefore, we took this bold step in order to create a modern and stylish home, where the owners can live comfortably and with pleasure during their frequent business trips to Moscow.
An apartment with a non-standard purpose required a non-standard approach. We tried to avoid the classic “roomy” layout and create an interesting space. This was done thanks to glass loft partitions. They separate the living room from the bedroom and the bedroom from the shower room, which creates a sense of one space.
The most interesting detail of the project is the complex construction of the loft partitions. They separate the living room from the bedroom and the bedroom from the shower room. At the same time, due to a small partition, the privacy of the bedroom was preserved. We tried to use a minimum of furniture and open shelving in the project, but at the same time provide for a sufficient amount of storage space. The wall on which the TV hangs at a quick glance seems to be just a wall. But in reality it is a shelving unit. On the bottom, we made several drawers, and on the side - shelves for books. The rack merges with the wall due to the fact that it is covered with decorative plaster on top.
A special atmosphere of the project is created by dark, enveloping tones, an abundance of natural materials and complex color schemes - everything we love. Painting prevails in wall decoration. Textured plaster is used on the partition between the bedroom and the living room. Shower rooms combine tiles of different colors, sizes and textures, including custom-made patterned cement tiles.
The kitchen, at the request of the owners, was made as compact as possible. A small black kitchen set is complemented by an island bar counter. In the living area there is a large comfortable sofa where you can relax after a hard day's work. There is a full-fledged workplace in the bedroom by the window. And at one of the windows, the window sill was widened, creating a place for reading there. A wardrobe and a large built-in wardrobe in the hallway are responsible for storage space.
The project took about a year to complete. Despite the small area of the apartment, there were many complex components in the project. The wood panels on the walls had to be installed exactly in line with the top of the wall. Provide good waterproofing for glass partitions, because behind one of them is a shower. In addition, the project has a lot of built-in furniture, which required well-coordinated work of builders and furniture makers. But despite all the difficulties, we managed to fully implement our plans. The owners of the apartment are happy, and we are doubly happy.
