Fabrista is a chain of coffee shops with global ambitions, a place of comfort and inspiration. The project is based on friendship and the desire to create a space that you want to return to again and again. The project we worked on is a coffee shop in the center of Makhachkala. The place has a very good location - a busy street in the tourist part of the city. We were also lucky with the space itself - high ceilings, panoramic windows and space for a terrace.
Our goal was to create an attractive location that stands out in its atmosphere, but corresponds to the values of the brand. The interior was created for modern city dwellers - for students, freelancers, entrepreneurs and young mothers. It is important for them that the city has a place where they can have a good time, relax, discuss work issues or run in for a cup of their favorite coffee. These people pay attention to what surrounds them. They appreciate comfort, good service and emotions received from being in a cool interior.
While working on the concept, we were inspired by the atmosphere of sunny Italy and the aesthetics of pool parties carried through the ages: from 70s disco to minimalist villas. And we transferred this journey through time to our interior. The aesthetics of pool parties at the villa are conveyed by reflective surfaces of glass, mirrors, metal and acrylic. And we are sent to Italy of the 70s by rich shades of wood, small tiles like by the pool and glossy surfaces. The point of attraction was a bar in a tinted glass finish with backlighting. This solution allowed us to create a box resembling a water surface. Mirrored hanging installations throughout the hall create interesting visual effects and resemble giant water splashes.
The color palette is based on a combination of contrasting colors: blue and orange. The brand identity is also based on these colors. Blue reflects the color of the water in the pool, and orange - orange lemonade, which is great to cool off on a hot day. Bright accents are placed against a background of clean light shades, which refer us to minimalist architectural buildings.
The furniture supports the concept, but is made of practical materials for public places. We used many items from local brands, as well as custom-made elements. In our heart, tables with small tile tops, tables with glass block bases and striped pillows on sofas in the style of beach hammocks.
A lot of attention was paid to the technology and functionality of the bar, largely due to the responsible approach of the customers to the organization of work. We put a lot of effort into making a comfortable and functional area, which would also become the center of attention.
We managed to very harmoniously integrate elements of the identity into the interior. Thus, branded illustrations decorate beach umbrellas and are used on a garland on the terrace. This allowed us to fill the space with small but very memorable details.
