Modern interior with Asian motives for a couple with a child. In this project, the functionality of the space came first. It was necessary to combine two apartments into one and carefully think over the layout, organize 3 bathrooms and think over a place for waste sorting.
The final layout divides the apartment into two large areas: a guest area with a kitchen-living room and a private area with bedrooms. The lightest part of the apartment was chosen for the kitchen-living room. The room is divided into three functional areas: a kitchen with an island, a sofa area and a hookah lounge with a corner window. Also in this part of the apartment there is a bathroom, an office with an extra bed and a multifunctional laundry room. A spacious storage system is organized in it and a place for waste sorting is thought out. The private area contains a single space for a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom, as well as a children's room and a children's bathroom.
The apartment owners sent in many references with Korean design, at the stage of discussing the future interior. We supplemented the simple decoration and laconic furniture with Asian motives. Rice paper lamps over the island, Korean hieroglyphs on the wall of the hookah room, a large planter with a tree in the sofa area, a decorative lattice behind the bed in the bedroom. Asian motifs can also be traced in color combinations. The color scheme is warm. The design is based on a combination of beige, sand and green.
There are stoneware with textures of natural materials (stone, marble and plaster), painting on the walls, parquet on the floor. The interior combines two types of light. Diffused light for main lighting and directional for embossed illumination of decorative elements and individual areas.
A lighter shade of green was chosen for the children's room. There is decorative painting on the wall, and a play attic above the bed. The green shelving symbolizes a tree with birds sitting on its branches.
The most difficult thing in the design was to locate 3 bathrooms within the boundaries of small wet areas. We managed to find a good and logical solution. Overall, we are happy with the result. The interior turned out to be modern, restrained, but memorable. We are looking forward to the photos of the completed project.
